Anybody else had this problem? Ordered piston rings for the HO engine I am rebuilding only to find out they don't fit. RockAuto lists two different sizes. One set is 5/64" 1st & 2nd rings and 3/16" oil ring. Thats what I bought, Sealed Power E-251K. However my engine takes 1.5mm 1st & 2nd ring and 4.0mm oil ring, Sealed Power E-458K. Is this typical of 5.0 engines to have either. My engine is out of a '88 Mark VII LSC. I bought the rings from Summit because of lower price than RockAuto.

its common for the factory stuff to take metric rings. most of the older stuff, and aftermarket use SAE size rings.
