Went in this morning for the fuel tank safety upgrade, which basically consisted of a lot of plastic parts to ensure my survival from a firey demise when the Kenworth smacks my a$$-end at 70 MPH. The service guys were kind enough to let me photgraph the install, thanks Bryan for your patience and dealing with the salt slush dripping on your head.

CLICK HERE to check out the upgrade procedure. A dozen thumbnails to 600x450's.

It looks pretty simple to install. Maybe a weekend ‘piece of mind’ project.

Can that fuel tank mod be put on all Vic's, 92-02? My part guy at my Ford dealer told me it would cost about $106.00 fot the kit, is this right. And has any one put this on their own Vic.

Nice pics 352. I pray that mod will never be put to the test, in another Vic.

352:

Thanks for all the detailed info...if even one person adds this kit to their personal car, you may have just done them a bigger favor than you know...I'm seriously considering adding it to my Marauder, if it'll fit. The odds of my getting slammed at 70 may be small, but the cost of the kit is nothing compared to the cost to my family if I ever DID get hit...

PM replied, fax is on its way. Got all seven pages into memory so only one transmission was needed.

I am wondering when my dept will have their cars done. The 2003 PI that I use has not been modified yet. (I don't go on the highway...unless I am running to Wendy's in Milford!) :p
