I thought they were refreshing the front & rear this year? Well, bad news if it's still the same look for the 10th year in a row.
I'm impressed by the fire suppression system. They really wanted to get rid of the problem!!!

I like my car looking current. Besides, a cosmetic-only "freshening" for basically a fleet-only vehicle makes no sense. If you change the front-end, push bar and other equipment manufacturers will have to redesign their products for that model year. The loss of parts interchangeability within a fleet costs MONEY.
BTW, the FSS is not new for 2008. Detailed pics and diagrams of Fire Supression System here:

I like the 2008 design. Reminds me of the look that was in ten model years ago....LOL!
If it keeps my '04 looking new, I am all for it.
Just like the Checker Marathon.

This will be the vics 11th year with no exterior changes! I do believe that is an automotive record.

Almost, at least post-war. The Checker cab (introduced for 1956 model year as the A8) continued virtually identical visually until 1982. It received 4 headlights in 1959. The biggest exterior change was 1973 when they got aluminum bumpers.
