You can get the code meaning from my website:

http://metroplex.users.superford.org/eecv.html

or use the Ford FSM CD to properly troubleshoot the code to find the exact problem.

QUOTE FROM AD: "Includes Instruction Manual." Suppose they put the codes in there?

I'll get mine next week. Great buy, it was also in the big catalogue I get fromharbor Freight every week.

If you don't want to have to look up a code, you can fork out the extra $$ for a code reader like this one. It gives you the code AND scrolls the code's meaning in clear text. It's convenient, but it also costs $139.

I'd say this one for $39 is a pretty good deal...especially for you cheap-azzes that keep running back to AutoZone to get your codes pulled!

I use CarCode which was about $90 and it was compatible with all OBD-2 cars, foreign and domestic. It requires a laptop but explains the code a bit and you can log sensor data and transfer it to an Excel spreadsheet.

Nonetheless, the intent of this post was to show folks who want an OBD-2 scanner to buy one at this low low price.

I have the Creader..... that little sucker has saved me some major bucks - when I do something stupid like leave the maf off and start the car (damn thing ran too) but instant code...

It has a booklet that lists all the codes for obdII..

But best is that is resets the ecm/lite...

very cool for little dineros..... especially when the dealer wants $75 bux a pop to diagnose...
