I'm thinking about checking this out because its so cheap. but that mileage is crazy. I drove a 93 toyota camry with 250,000 miles and I thought that was a lot.

They aren't lying... The mileage is "up there".

On the other hand, I have seen a few Town Cars with 800,000+ miles, and they seemed to be in good shape. So I guess it just depends on how well it was maintained.

town cars got the same exact engine as vics, and mercs. so dont worry about mileage. i was actually looking into getting one myself. they are reallllly nice.

For that price, I'd buy it. You could probably re-coupe most the cost by selling it as scrap anyway if it doesn't work out.

I've seen a few TCs on Craigslist in that year range, with around that many miles going for 6K, and people would jump on them.

For $1500, you really can't go wrong. If I had the money, I would probably do it myself.

If you do a search on E-Bay for Town Cars you'll find that most were limos/livery use. A lot of open road miles, (airport & back) & the miles are usually high & the cars have been well maintained. If you can physically look at it that will probably give you the right idea.
Very happy with the MKS. Finally got used to all the bells & whistles. Better handling, good MPG (25-27 highway) Better stopping distance & much faster acceleration.

It's worth more in parts. I'd buy it and drive it until it broke. Then sell it in pieces.

Bought car for our son and he has no job, so now, he has no car!!!

Definitely, if I didn't owe that much to Discover Card still, I'd think about putting it on my card.

This car is super 'komfortable' and 'kooshy' with a smooth ride!!
I REALLY distrust people who put attributes in 'quotes' and spell c-words with k. It's 'kooshy' and 'komfortable' because the 'shoks' are 'krapped out'.

I'd figure the car service Town Cars would fare better over time than a Taxi because Big shots coming back from a business trip don't want to ride in some ratty ex-cop car that smells. Not to mention the fact that LTCs have a much higher initial cost than a Crown Vic, so these car services need to recoup that investment big time.
