Squires Turbo Systems claims to have a remote mounted turbocharging kit that will work on any car. Anyone know what the cost would be install this system on our Panther vehicles?

Nice Vic! I wish I had the time and equiptment to make my own kit. The main thing I like about remote kits is the ability to run a turbo without having to build a turbo manifold.

How does it work without a manifold? If I buy that kit for my Town Car, how do I install it (I'm new to turbocharging)/What mods need to be made?

Normal turbo setups have the turbo scavaging directly from the exhaust manifold(s). In the type of setup above, the turbo is mounted at the rear of the exhaust system(after the exhaust manifolds). There's a lot you should know about turbos.

Read this: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

yep, stock motor and trans.....the turbo is a t-60 with sts's own exhuast turbin design, the exhaust side is a .81 AR....just keep to boost under 10psi and you will be fine...

Is there more delay in the time it takes for the turbo to spool up since there is a lot more air to get moving in the pipes between the turbo and the engine.

It's still a bada$$ setup though. Want to trade?

Those videos were nice. What size piping is that? I'm surprised the stock block and trans can handle all that power.
