Is there a location where you can find the code for the keyless entry passcode on the door. I think I read somewhere that it should be under the hood? Or is a trip to the dealer in order?

If your car is an '03, don't count on finding the code on the trunk support arm. At some point before '02 Ford stopped putting the code in this location. I have an '02 and did some research about it's placement. I think the only place you'll find it on your car is on the module which behind the driver's side door panel. You have to take the panel off, which is really quite easy, and then find the module which is at the bottom-front of the door. It's printed right on there, plain as day. That's how I got mine. Again, it was really quite simple....much easier than I thought it would be.

03+ they put them in the owners manual, but I am getting ready to pop off my door panel in a few days and I will look for 03+ owners.

mine was in the owners manual and in the truck and in the door panel.

Ford isn't consistent with their MY change quirks.

It's printed right on the driver's door module for all 1995-current panthers. No changes for any year, it's always there. 5 digit number in bold.

Check through your owner's manual booklet first, though. A small card with the number printed was give to the first owner with the booklets when the car was purchased.
Typically, for 03 models a set of stickers with the code printed on (like ~'02 on the RH trunk lid hinge arm) was included to be placed by the owner. Though most dealers would simply adhere them in the old standard location, or in the driver's door opening.

Thanks for the help! My 96 had it in the trunk, this one doesn't seem to. Going to double check the owners manual and then take it from there.

My car was a former rental, i found the code stickers in the spare tire. they were never mounted anywhere. If all else fails you can go to a dealer and they can get it for you.

I went to three dealers in my area and got three different prices for getting the code ranging from $30 to $60. I've heard that some do it for free...but not where I live.
