My 5 speed swap has begun. The C6 hangs by 2 bolts and is sitting on an unsecured tailshaft mount at the moment. What has been used for shift boots in the past? I'll be needing both, the one that seals the shifter to the trans and the one that seals the shifter to the trans tunnel.

Steve did the swap on his 91 box, not sure what he used or if even got that far.

i used the lower plate from a mustang, bent it up a little


and the boot i got from a ranger without cup holders

it scrunches down nicely

Groovy. Does it matter what kind of Ranger trans? And is the Ranger boot taller than the Stang boot or something?

i used the mustang sifter with the hurst handle,

just anny ranger boot, find one without the cup holders, and yep the ranger boot is too tall but it does scrunch down
