First check your brake fluid level. If it is low the brake/parking brake warning lamp will illuminate.

The ABS lamp may be coming on because of a intermittent fault (ie a wheel speed sensor (also recommend cleaning)), or something as simple as a wheel speed variance (ie from a mismatched tire size)

i have the red brake system warning light coming on in 07 crown vic when i brake very hard (only when the vehicle is in motion). The car also pulls to one side. the fluid level is high, and the parking brake is off.

i just brought it to the dealership and they told me the braking parts are extremely rusty, and they would need to resurface the rotors, and put new pads in, and that would fix the problem. does this sound reasonable? i can't figure out why rusty brake components would cause the red warning light to come on, or how resurfacing the rotors and new pads would fix this.

Ask them if they'll refund your money if it doesn't fix it. Personally I doubt that's your problem. Is the car parked outside for extended periods? It could possibly be a bad M/C or even bad connection somewhere. Does the car only pull on hard braking?

Did you bring it to Tower Ford ? I've heard good and bad things about them.

checked the fluid it was just below the max line so I filled it to the tires all match. so another question is how do I clean the sensors? does it involve taking the wheel off? it seems that the warning lights are on more than off now.
