Wait, no the CEL light IS on but it doesn't have anything to do with the startup fuel pump problem I think.

The CEL light is on because of some vacuum problem I've got... though I guess a bad fuel pump with a leak somewhere might give off the same symptoms and therefore the same error code... hmmm.

Ok so you did get a code and had it pulled ..

I was running on the assumption that you never had the CEL illuminate.

Sorry for making this so difficult be coming in all sideways and in the middle.

Haha no worries Rizzo, frankly I'm just glad everyone's helping me out. It's nice to know I have pro's to turn to. \:D

Also, I'm in anyday for that synchronized swimming burnout. :P

Agh, I wish I had it. I actually had a buddy scan it but he sold the scanner and we didn't write down the code. \:\( I don't know where to check that again... Autozone says no btw. \:\(

Also I bought the DPFE (TSB 4U7Z.. the new one) for 33.50 and the IAC is running at 90 bucks so I held back on it until I swap.

The only thing now is that the DPFE actually looks like a pretty hard swap. I don't know if I have the tools or skill to get back there and change the old sensor out for mah new one.

Is this swap actually abnormally easy for its appearance or is it as hard as it looks?

SCHALLZ you just read my mind.

I JUST got back from the mechanic; I put it on a diag for $45 bucks and he found out that my COP#4 is down (replaced it) and that one of the hoses that connects to the intake manifold and goes to the gas vapor regulator (I think that's right) is bad so I special ordered that from my local Ford.

All in all, 65 bucks for the labor and 70 for parts. I can't wait till the car's done on Monday when the part arrives. \:D It's still drivable though. \:\)

I didn't swap the DPFE btw, I figure since the one in this CV is fine I'll just keep the new one for my new CV if I ever need it. \:D

Thanks for asking SCHALLZ. \:D

BTW, how much do you think I can sell a '99 CVLX (I don't think it's PI) with 152K, a perfect interior, and an abnormally good running engine for? The exterior is fine except for one TINY ding in the hood, a few scratches, some wear, and a bumper to wall scrape on the right cheek of the car. That one was the only one that was my fault... the rest were on there when I bought the car, and that bumper scrape was the only time I've ever made contact with something else while in a motor vehicle (thank God).

Don't hate me for scraping a CV... I swear I was depressed for like a month after the scrape. \:\(

I was thinking $3700 listing price and $3200 lowest? Sound ridiculous or good?
