Ok so my 99 CVPI is getting old with 230,xxx on the clock im in the market to find a newer motor to breath some life back into the car.

Any one know where I could find a decent deal in the KY, OH, IN area that I could go to the seller and swap motors there as I cant afford the shipping and dont have the means to swap it myself.

Any help would be appretiated

I'd say that unless your motor has a specific problem, just keep it.

sounds like its just a crack intake manifold. Commmon failure on pre 2001 vics

if your father is a mechanic you can fix it fairly cheaply. If the motor is otherwise fine then just do that for now

There's a parts yard just east of you that has some real reasonable prices. I can't think of their name right now but I'll work on it tomorrow.

Sounds like you may have a leak at the heater hose connector on the back of the intake. Repair would consist of replacing the intake with a new manifold. Dorman makes a kit along with Ford. I would guess you have coolant leaking into #4 plug well causing your misfire.

All will depend on how much you have to spend and how much down time you can live with. To do the job yourself would be the cheapest way to go. If you can't do it yourself I would have the engine replaced with the amount of miles and known problems it already has. The $500 going into repair work should go into a new engine.
