Physics dictates that it will loose plenum volume without the cams, and exhaust mods needed to realize that nice 50 HP gain. You can still see a torque dip on the dyno due to the shorter runner setup. With Quickvics setup however this is small beans and the lack of the nose over seen with the tuned runner PI intake is a big win.

Yeah the engine is set up for plenty more rpm than 6200 rpm, I was thinking of more like 6500-6700 shift points and 7000 rev limiter. Yes I will need a retune for this, good thing I have a dyno at my fingertips and a good friend as a grade A+ tunner \:\)

I also plan on getting this and hookin my zex wet kit to this plate

I dont under stand this very clearly. Would realy like to know how smaller cams would reduce a plenum volume. The plenum volume is a fixed volume. Unless one was to fill it in or grind it out.

I dont know what the pressure rating on the black hose you used to connect the ends of the fuel rails. It looks like standard fuel line from Autoze or such. I recomend using NAPA's red hose. Its max working pressure is like 250 PSI. I have used it and trust it a lot more on EFI fuel lines.

I justed used this EFI hose for mock up, once i get it on the car I will use oem type hard plastic line, we have the kit at my work so that makes things a lot easier \:\) Or I could use the napa hose with the air craft style clamps \:\)

I tried to use the nylon EFI stuff. It worked ok on fittings I could remove from the car. It didnt work fo s##t on the lines attached to the frame due to inaccessability and odd angles. Gave up and used the red hose and regular hose clamps with no issues.

So any updates? You get it installed yet? Have you done or had to do any other mods to the intake? What about the upper plenum?

So what would the results be on a Mostly stock car, or a car with all the boltons? Or is this a mod for those with more serious work already done?

More serious work done..

until you start swapping cams or up the compression or go with some sort of forced induction SC/Turbo/N2O the stock PI intake should be plenty good.

I don't really even need my typhoon intake fully yet but with my future goals I will need something better than stock PI.

nice work russ

use some russell lines... they will look real nice and we never have had issues making tons of fuel lines with them

that intake works just fine....

still better low end torque than stock and avery very usable torque and power range....

love it

i say it will really shine with new heads and some headers
