5 spd swap issues

so ive pretty much gathered a good amount of the parts needed for this swap . Im leaning towards using a tr 3650 but in Drocks BOK post it says the the tr 3650 has the trans mounts in a dif location to where as the 99-04 t-45 has the same trans mounts as the 4r70w. Would it be easyier to use the t-45, and is there anyone one that can make me a peddal assembly if i ship them to the parts and pay them as i dont have the tools to do it

The problem with the trans mount is not the transmission but rather the shape of the crossmember found in any 03+ crown vic.
I did my swap with a stock tremec tr3650 and then after I blew a third gear syncro I got a beffy up tr3650 to support my up comming mod.
I would highly suggest you to get the beffy-up tr 3650 right away to safe yourself so futur problem.
Theses cars are heavy and need something solid.
I will have my own pedal assembly for sale soon.
I bought another one to make some modification on my set-up.

Your gonna get the same replies I did... Not enough people have done the swap to really know, so were just gonna have to wing it.
I don't think the T3650 mounts in the same place as the T45. To answer the question you asked on MCE, the pedal assembly I got with my swap was custom built. I'm not sure who built it, but I purchased the Swap kit off of "lugnut" he's basically and inactive user because he sold his vic, but he will probably answer PMs sent to him.
If you want we can meet up and you can check out the pedal assembly and take some pics if you want.

Personaly I would stay away from the t45 it just a weak transmission in stock form.
It will do the job for a daily driver but if you are planning to race the car or do major upgrade to the engine go with something else.
Funkrider did the swap with a t45 23 years ago but sold the car after a bit more than a year if I remember well.
So he cant really say how long the transmission lasted.
he has also it's own write -up in the bok just above mine.

I put a T45 in my 93 and welded the clutch tube to the cv brake assembly. It worked great with the t45 and I'm stll using it with the T56.

hurst short trow shifter. with a hurst handle designed for the older fox mustang style
