Before anything, i have checked all fuses, nothing appears blown, however i can't find a fuse for the reverse lights, i don't even know what fuses go to where because i don't have the owners manual.

Its a 2002 retired police car and still had all the wiring for the lights etc. I found a pulse box towards the front and disconnected it and took the "extra" wiring out, I guess i never had proper working reverse lights, they would just blink when i went into reverse. Since i took the wiring out it appears that it also took out my reverse lights.

I need someone who knows about this, I'm thinking something was crimped to the reverse lights, more than likely the pulse box(which in turns makes them blink) but i'm having problems finding this wire, do any of you have maybe a wire diagram? I can't see if the reverse switch has been disconnected or not because there is just no room to see by the tranny.

Go to www.helminc.com and order the owners manual portfolio. Fuse 16 is the reverse lights. My reverse lights crapped out once. It was a bad sensor

what sensor went bad, wouldn't that set the check engine light? I don't have any codes thrown. I will download a layout @ alldata.

Sorry, I was on my Droid when I last posted and didnt have access to data. They found it was the Neutral Safety Switch that went bad. I dont know why they call it a sensor.

F8AZ-7F293-AA is the part number and it runs around $40 or so.

Here are the techs notes on the invoice. Maybe that may help you. I dont know what the "DTR" is though that he speaks about.

So is the Neutral Safety Switch the same as the DTRS? When I looked it up by part number it came up as a sensor and as a neutral safety switch. On mine, they replaced the neutral safety switch.

i don't believe this is a sensor issue, it has to be a wiring issue, simply because as soon as i removed that pulse box they stopped working all together haha

NSS is a function of DTRS. It essentially says what gear the transmission is actually in.

Correct.

Look in trunk near drivers side hinge, it feeds the reverse lamps. You'll probably find it cut.
