My trunk lid opens just barely when released from inside the car. Most others I see open several inches when released. How can this be adjusted?

You have to make a tool to remove the Torsion bars that put tension on the trunk. I don't have the diagram at hand, but i know someone else does.

Or you can just muscle them, but you can get injured this way, and it is a lot harder to do.
