I wonder if there could be a way around that "little difficulty" of the law? Aren't there some legal means of licensing a home-built vehicle? Even if it had to be driven under restricted conditions, the way antique vehicles are (in Illinois, anyway) today?

The other rather significant problem is the lack of a top. This car was built for show only, so it never had a top or the mechanism installed.
