Ok guys, I need advice on snow tires, 225/60/16 for my 99.

As soon as photobucket gets squared away, I'll post a couple pics, did my new HAP rear springs and gas-a-justs today.

I was looking at the Firestone Winterforce, decent price. Tell me your thoughts or experience with snows, thanks!!

Great ratings, friends recommend, but still not sure how I like them.

I run Winterforces in the front (Glacier Grip II's out back), they've been great so far.

Do you put them just on the back, or all 4 corners?

With mine on the back, as I described in the tread I started, the back end wiggles.
You notice that on yours?

I am wondering if maybe at 115K, some parts back there are worn, and the soft sidewall tires are just making it more noticeable.
After dumping over $1000 up front on parts, the plan is to move to the back in March or so. Shocks, brakes, maybe bearings and springs.

Set of Firestone Winterforces came with my car when I bought it. No complaints whatsoever; they've been great! I was able to plough through all kinds of stuff last winter, and they seem to do really well in wet conditions too.

I haven't tried them, but Nokians are supposed to be state of the art though. Snow tires are pretty much their thing.

I remember that sound of studded tires when I lived in Burlington, they aren't allowed around here.
I knew a few people that had the Hakkapelitta's, incredible tires for Vermont winters.

I just put on my Firestone Winterforce tires. They're a LITTLE noisy, but nothing too awful. Haven't got to test them in the snow yet, though.

General Altimax Arctic. Great for nearly everything the winter can throw at you. Studdable, and quiet. And much more affordable than Blizzaks.

You'll love the Winterforce snows...I've been running them for the past six winters.

I've run the Michelin X Ice 2 in the past, I just bought them for my Magnum. They seem to be a pretty good tire, similar bang for the buck as a Blizzak but has the winter compound throughout the entire tread depth.

I also have had luck with the Dunlop Graspic DS2 and DS3 series tires, I haven't been wronged by them.
