that's when it felt like traction control was kicking in

with a 3.27 and a standard aluminum drive line 130mph

i think an ammx driveline would increase speed limiter to 140mph, or a lower gear ratio would do that too.

i have 3.55s in my CVPI and the stock driveshaft and i got mine to 140[ok so it was 139.2 clocked by ISP got off witha warning ;)] but yea your right upgrade the driveshaft and go to 3.55s of 3.73s and you will hit 140 jus fine

he installed all the rods after grinding rivets and [censored] out, put the caps on the locks, i also had them fix my driver window not rolling up right, while he was there he installed the door mounted trunk release, no charge, had them adjust the torsion bars for the trunk lid, and got an engine cover, 190 after tax.

just the doors is like 150-170, the indian owner is a dick, just talk to the mexican workers, they may not have the best english but they know their CV [censored].

i only know specs for 03+ i would not be surprised if you had the amx driveline stock, i call BS on 140pmh w/ 3.55 and steel driveline. and my other question is have you modified the gear ratio, tire size, driveline or speed sensor?

and its not the driveline that acually slows you down, its the computer stoping you from making your driveline fly out from under the car. so all that matters is how fast yoiur car thinks your going, and how fast your car thinks your driveline can safely go. ford was constantly changing the limit based on drivelines, and gear ratios. steel aluminum amx 2.73 3.08 3.27 3.55, its really about driveline RPM

when you get up to 120+ you know that loud rumble? driveline.

they all say that 3.55 are limited to 120mph, but some were not limited, this caused a couple cruisers to loose a driveline.
be careful, the general concensus on CVN is that 3.27 are @ 128-130 3.55 are 120 2.73 are 140.

I would go to a local ford dealer parts/service department, and ask for a factory options list, it will tell you the axle ratio and driveline type.

you said the speedo was pegged? im not sure what you mean, but if the car cant tell the acual speed of the vehicle that could disable the speed limiter.

OK so i got some parts, other parts are starting to be ordered:

R1Concepts Drilled & Slotted Premium Rotors (front and Rear)
Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramics (front and Rear)
Carlson Hardware kits
KYB police-spec Shocks
Metco Rear Arms
Addco Swaybars
ENS bushings for addcos
Autometer Single Pillar Pod
Autometer 8k Tach
Autometer Tach Adapter
Ebay Crystal Corner markers
Corner marker blinker mods relays
Ford Focus Fogs
oil filter adapter gasket
cheap green coolant(drain and fill)

motorcraft oil filter
RF lower Control arm bushings

besides installing all named components i will also be performing a full vehicle inspection and performing a tire rotation and 4-wheel computerized alignment. also resurfacing then painting the calipers.

the goal is to get all the parts together, and do everything in one day. do you think i can do it?
