I use the same console and it fits great, but how did you bolt yours down? I just have mine sitting loose. wheni had the carpet up i welded 2 bolts to the floor for the front OE mounting holes, couple washers and good to go. i left the rear holes empty, the console wiggled wihtout carpet, but with carpet it sits firm and strong. and taurus colors match vics

Are you sure thats the speed limit? that's when it felt like traction control was kicking in with a 3.27 and a standard aluminum drive line 130mph i think an ammx driveline would increase speed limiter to 140mph, or a lower gear ratio would do that too.

by curiosity what did that cost? he installed all the rods after grinding rivets and [censored] out, put the caps on the locks, i also had them fix my driver window not rolling up right, while he was there he installed the door mounted trunk release, no charge, had them adjust the torsion bars for the trunk lid, and got an engine cover, 190 after tax. just the doors is like 150-170, the indian owner is a dick, just talk to the mexican workers, they may not have the best english but they know their CV [censored]. also i've taken her up to the speed limiter, 130mph down the 525 at 3am OH MY! I would go to a local ford dealer parts/service department, and ask for a factory options list, it will tell you the axle ratio and driveline type. you said the speedo was pegged? im not sure what you mean, but if the car cant tell the acual speed of the vehicle that could disable the speed limiter.
