Everything is wired up correctly but I cant get these damn wires/plugs to fit back there and get the head unit latched it! I need to take a break it's really pissing me off.. Ugh

Okay I finally got it in after finagling for over an hour. It's a REALLY tight fit but it works. Wiring was simple enough, color coded, cut off extra wires. All speakers work, illumination, buttons, cd player, etc.. Thing sounds 5x better than the old head unit. It's good to have RDS again. WOOHOO so happy I'll snap a few pics.

Yea the ones that hold a bunch of songs. I have some "mix" cd's I made that hold 13-16 songs that it plays fine (I think they are .wav files), but I didn't know it could read cds with a bunch of mp3 burned on it.

I pulled one of those out of my Marauder mainly because it will NOT play Mp3...
There is a BIG difference in std CD .wav files vs Mp3...

I don't know what the actual technical term is.. But I burned three CD's last night with about 15 songs each and the songs I burned were about 4mb - 6mb each ending in .mp3 plays perfect.

There must be more than one version of that unit...
My Marauder was built in June of '02, the one that was in it defiantly will not play Mp3...

Maybe you're not burning the CD correctly? I use Windows Media Player which lets me fill a disc with anywhere from 10-16 songs depending on the size/length of the song.
