...or did it? General Motors took dead aim at the Ford F-150 during the Super Bowl by airing a spot for the Chevrolet Silverado. The ad featured a post-apocalyptic scene where only Silverado owners survived the end of the world and Ford customers were left to fade into the fossil record. Interestingly enough, however, the spot may not have had the intended effect of pushing more eyes toward GM products.
According to TheCarConnection.com, the ad may have benefited Ford more than Chevrolet. Kelley Blue Book keeps an eye on which vehicles visitors to the site are interested in, and Ford saw an immediate uptick directly after the GM commercial aired. Ford didn't have a big Super Bowl ad this year.
That wasn't all. Ford continued to see a swell in shopping in the days after the Super Bowl. Interest in the Silverado, meanwhile, rose slightly when the ad aired before leveling off during the remainder of the game and falling shortly thereafter. Interest in the F-150, meanwhile, continued to surge. According to TheCarConnection.com, the F-150 saw a greater boost in shoppers week over week while the Silverado fell off by 25 percent. Turns out Ford shouldn't have been so upset about the spot after all. So, Chevy's adsense falls? Nope, Ford didn't have a SuperBowl ad... But the Kia ad was pretty good... Almost the same thing anymore, and if Ford were to quit making the Mustang, there'd be NO difference.

The Ford Mustang is still being out sold by the Camaro. Not by much. Not to mention even with a smaller mill, less HP, and less TQ the Mustang GT still outperforms the Camaro SS in all categories. People are just enthralled by the Camaro's exterior looks and it's placement in the Transformer movies/constant commercials helps as well.

There been a backlog of people wanting a camaro since its been gone for 5 years. 2013 should put the camaro in its place...which is last.

Who gives two shyts whether Camaros outsell Mustangs, besides the bean-counters?
I don't like Camaros. I don't like Chevrolets. I will not purchase (nor have I ever purchased) a Chevrolet. Or any General Motors (or Government Motors) vehicle.
If you like a Camaro, please wash your mullet when you buy one, so your hair smut doesn't stain the head rest.
I don't like Camaros, which is why I bought my Mustang.

LOL Pony. The new Camaro I am not fond of at all from it's bulky weight, to it's horrible interior/blind spots. I'm also not a fan of Chevy/GM.
BUT I have to give it to Chevy as the F Bodies were dominating until Ford came out with the 03/04 Cobra. Plus the Camaro back then along with the Trans Am actually looked good and performed well.

 Don't give yourself a heart attack man, just making the same point about Ford trucks being the high seller. Still doesn't change the fact they are inferior and I'd never buy one. Dodge makes a way better truck.
