These Ford marketing clips aren't really new. They have been around since about fall of 2011, but were mostly only available within the fleet and dealership networks. We used these now and then when a customer wanted to buy new police vehicles but didn't have any technical information. The 2013 Taurus police and Explorer police are now in production at the Chicago plant. I'm still waiting on my Utility to be delivered. Naturally all the new police vehicles are behind production schedules.

Good find. I have never seen anyone try to "push" their police car so hard. Ever heard of Carbon Motors?

They actually have something to promote that customers with the cash can actually take home.

The police pkg goes back to '54 (perhaps longer?). My uncle bought a new '54 2-dr Victoria with the full package. It had the merc engine, 4V carb, dual exh, handling pkg, big brakes and an auto tranny. It had been ordered by the LaFayette, GA Sheriff but wasn't delivered til the end of the model year so, the Sheriff refused it.
Also, I almost bought a used '54 4dr Customline special ordered police pkg car (stick with overdrive). Then, I wasn't 21 and Pop wouldn't sign the papers. Said it was way too fast for me!
I'm sure the Police Pkg actually started back in the Flathead days ('53 and earlier) using Merc engines and other components.
