Its been bugging me for a while. The black vacuum solenoid in the pass side firewall, what is it? I know it has to do with the EVAP system. In the BOK theres an article about cleaning the vapor canister purge valve, and it says it is located with the canster under the trunk. Ive seen a part listed as the vapor canister vaccum solenoid. Is that the one on the firewall?

There is an EVAP purge valve on the passenger side firewall, not exactly sure what it does but I had to replace mine when I broke it a few weeks ago. 2 vacuum connections and an electrical connector.

One of the vacuum connections goes to the plenum.
