Ya I don't understand how its so rusted myself either. All I can think is they parked it next to the salt pile? It belonged to a DPW chief in a Massachusetts town a good 30 miles from the ocean. It has no miles because the guy lived in the same town and just drove it back and forth to work. It rides nice as hell. No check engine. It needed one tire and all I had was a 215 60 16 so I put that on it. It really is too bad about the frame.

Ill drive it as my personal car for the winter and as soon as my 01 Marquis needs a major repair I will strip this for parts.

Why don't you do a frame swap? Get a new frame from the junk yard and swap it. It's pretty involved, but it's a clean car.

I seriously doubt I have anywhere near the skills to accomplish that on my own and I am guessing it would be pretty damn expensive thing to do.. Would have to lift both bodies off frames swap drive train and then put body back right? Thats alot to go through to have a kickass 1999 CVPI right?

I put it on Craigslist for $1500 obo but I think the plan of driving it as personal car for winter and then parting it out is the way to go.

Welcome! How much did you pay? If I was you (and had like $1500 to blow), I'd try to find a high-mileage 03-04 and start swapping out parts. Or, you know, sell the interior and recoup your costs wink

Its was $400. Car cost me almost as much to register it. When I showed the registry lady the mileage she put in the salestax for NADA mint..

What was I gonna say? "No you don't understand if I hit a speedbump too fast the frame will break"

Damn! That is some rust. That car looks as if it has a few hundred Ks on it underneath. From the outside, it does look pretty mint...I see a few specs of fender rust but nothing else.

Ya its funny.. I am used to driving taxis that already have a minimum of 100k miles on them. The front end on this car is so tight when I picked it up it felt like there was something wrong with it.

If it wasn't for the change in the seat sensors, I'd consider it. Those are some good looking seats, and I do happen to have a friend in Boston...

That is a shame about the frame. Another vote for a frame swap. It needs to live on

Looks like a typical Buffalo car to me. 02's and down always have rotted out frames around here.
