For the guys that don't know the car or build. please read the links below
10sec Turbo Build
10sec Turbo build part 2

For the rest of the guys. Thought i would post a few updates.

Turbo was set back for rebuild due to oil leaking from seals. when they tore the turbo down. some damage was found on the exhaust wheel(i think it happen back in 2011 when car was on 93octane and plug melted)so i had them replace the wheel along with installing a .96a/r housing. i've been thinking about getting for so time. below are a few pic

next:I sent the injectors, fuel reg, and pump out for a rebuild. injectors were a little dirty, fuel reg need rebuild, and pump was great.

while all that was going on. i built a jig, cut, and welded my new 17" wheels for the new M/T radials. wheels now are 17x7 front and 17x10 rear. just need to send them out for coating before the car is back together.

the best is always save for the last...

well i tore the motor down as you know. crank, rod, pistons, block and bores looked great(until i started cleaning and checking the parts)Crank is perfect, rods are perfect, block needs a freshen up, Pistons and wrist pins were all good but one. #3 where i had a issue with back in 2011. had a plug melt down.
bad pistion

it was time to upgrade a little more. hint..hint ->look at the label

old bore was 3.55 new is 3.70. It doesn't sound so different until you do this.

The new setup will be
76mm/.96a.r, 302ci, 10:1, E85, with a lot of boost... there maybe one more change but we will see.

Rich

NICE!!! Sucks about the piston....but definitely made way for an even better setup. Looking forward to seeing your progress and results.

Is it just me or do I not see a sleeve in that cylinder? I thought Modulars didn't have enough material to bore out more than .020" without sleeving.

Oh sweet. I totally missed that in the picture, I was focused on the pistons.

I foresee this becoming a 9 second Vic now. Holy cow.

The iron blocks you can go .040" but i wouldn't do it because i daily drive this car.

The Boss 5.0 Block comes with a larger bore and has better webbing so no need for sleeving.
