I thought i have found the heads but turns out someone up there hates me, i bought a pair of gt40 3 bar and it has all the goodies machined, stainless valves, dual springs, mild port work all was fine except the fact that someone has machined the rocker bolt hole from a 5/16 to a 7/16 and now i cant use my cobra rocker arms.

by any chance that there's a thread reducer from a 7/16 down to the original 5/16

You might be able to use helicoils, or find a good metal shop that can fill the hole, and redrill it out.

Alexs parts has a drop in spring kit,a nd more than likely the 7/16 is from a lightning they cam with two different varieties. Nothing wrong with a bigger stud lol

Well I found a company that is called "timecerts" if I'm not mistaken, they have a solid reducer so I can use the cobra roller rocker arms on these heads. But in the mean time I will start a new thread about another topic here in the box forum hope some one can help.

Funny you should mention the performance parts section of Pep Boys. I was there on Sunday (Union NJ store) and noticed the selection of performance parts. I began to wonder how many people actually buy those parts. In my area, I am one of the few people that does any kind of work on their cars.

^^^^^ biggrin So True^^^^^

It's ironic that the people that do the work to their cars don't put stickers on their cars.
