I think I will buy my new maf and injectors that way I have a excuse to buy them now for my turbo build.

Shaping mafs fixed it. But your old maf back in also fixed it. I'd be looking at the coupler at the maf or anything else you removed and put back on in the process. Maybe nothing is bad. Could have just been a soft set coupler.

kurt- I triple checked everything. I even had to take the intake off to remove all the spark plugs so I doubt I forgot to tighten it up 2x. Im still leaning towards bad gas.

I was driving earlier today in the car and seamed fine. Floored it the entire time(after she was all warmed up) to make sure she didnt go lean and just to remove all that crap from the tank.

I thought after you removed and installed everything was fine. So I was implying that you only had something loose once. The second time you got everything tight so now it's all good. Sorry if I misunderstood. Whatever the cause was hopefully it is gone for good now

We had a bad coolant temp sensor once, it did this. Took us 2 weeks to figure it out. Damn sensor. It's behind to the bottom of the alternator in the engine block under the intake manifold.

Kurt- nope. Lol. I checked everything then reinstalled and still wrong. Hey wr all get confused, we are only human.

Yeahinc- what year did it happen to? I thought the knock sensor was in the side of the block under the manifold.

They both are. There is a threaded boss on the cylinder heads in the engine valley. The coolant temp sensor is in the drivers side head.

Well here it is.

I pulled it apart to show that epoxy was on the outside. Someone already messed with it. Even worse, I didnt realize it when I re assembled the motor. I will install it tomorrow. Should be easy since the victor jr frees up a ton of room. I will let you know how it turns out.

Installed the new sensor today and car is running the same way. Not breaking up anymore but I still dont know what caused this scare.
