Just saying Hi, great site all, tons of helpful info.
I bought my Vic as a truck substitute, will try to post a pic here.
Came from Coconut Creek LEO (found brochures on victims rights, 2 subpoenas, 1 hastily stashed debt list full of nick names and amts.)
Paid 3500 at 96000 mile (in retrospect I think too much)
So far I've done:
8 Accel COPs
Motorcraft plugs ( I think)
Fuel and air filters
2 new Timken front hubs
2 new premium rotors (forget the brand)
Sanded down the Ford brand pads(lots of meat left)
Airlift system inside the rear coils
Heavy duty tow hitch.
A few LED replacement bulbs
Clear front corners (passenger side was rigged together when I bought the car)
4 new speakers and head unit ( nothing fancy just wanted bluetooth and usb)
Ultra gauge to clear the intermittent catalyst code
Bed lined steelies with the phone dial style center caps off my ranger.
Paid to have valve cover gaskets done on a hoist due to a drip on the passenger cat.
Working on:
Horrible rear end noise cry
Roof rack to carry various construction supplies.
Any recommendations on a knowledgeable rear end shop or member in MI?

PS I will be whoring up a bit to get to the classifieds, but I will try to keep it tasteful.

Thanks for the welcomes guys, I've been on the site lurking for a while now. I booked an appointment at a high end shop to have the rear end checked out but now I'm having second thoughts, maybe I should do it myself. I'm sure I need bearings and axle shafts, worried about what else I might find.

Don't be worried. You bought a P71 that was used hard and beat on. It's normal to find things here and there that will need to be replaced. However once you work out all the kinks you'll love the car more than anything laugh

I'm in Warren as well, on the border of Hazel Park.
I'm going to work on my roof rack today, will try to get some pics.

Good looking 05'. Like how your roof rack looks, different touch to a Vic.
