When I first imported my crownvic from the US, I was living in Spain, where seemed to be 0 activity regarding this kind of cars. After 9 years, I brought the car to the UK; I have seen around my area a 92 beige crownvic, not sure if that cv owner is around here. I am currently in Hillingdon (West London). If there are some members around or anywhere in the UK... please speak up!!

Could we see a picture of it? I am just curious is all. Did you need special modifications for traffic rules or a license plate modification to fit euro specifications + UK?

Hi there and welcome! Another german panther driver here ;.) Pictures: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/104581754261901190566/albums/5813972793216275585Modifications for Germany (newer model years, historic vehicles enjoy some grandfather rights): - yellow turn signals - rear foglight - turs signals and brake lights must not be combined in one lamp - towing hook at front Paperwork - certificates for lights and pollution At discretion of the engineer who inspects the vehicle: - accept that lights, safety belts etc. do not conform to the euro regulations but are of equal value At discretion of DMV - acceptable size of licence plate So if the stars line up nicely, you have the thing registered in no time with the plates you want. For the non-euro-crowd: A new vehicle that is officially sold in the european union comes with a Certificate of Conformity which makes it rather simple to register it in any of the euro countries. An imported vehicle (like any panther) that was never officially offered for sale when new over here must be registered individually. And the paperwork is only valid for the issuing country. That is why a CV may have been registered just fine in Spain, but needs all the paperwork done again (and possibly additional "local" conversions) when moved to Britain. Have a safe ride! Joerg ... and greetings to jojo! Long time no hear ;-)

Hello Joerg! All the modifications done back in 2005 when I imported it to Spain were quite complicated, as the way the tail lights of a 96' are designed, make it more difficult! I also had to install a towing hook... front and back! and as Spanish does not acknowledge anything else than their own... I also had to install side indicators and a platform to adapt a full long size european plate at the back, but once the anual inspection was done, I had a US size one, police only stopped me once for that but as they don't even know the rules properly... they let me go lol.
In the UK is so much simple! because they do acknowledge import vehicles and also they keep the vehicle rules from the age the vehicle was constructed. The only thing I had to do is swap the rear fog light to the right and the reverse light to the left, send the Spanish paperwork and of course, pay the fees of registration and tax, and after 4 days was all done.
I am going to attach some pictures on another post if I manage!
Nice to see other crownvic owners in Europe!
See you around! Francisco.

Hi Joerg ! Great set of pictures. The Bullits do look that good on your car! Your pics remind me of the mudgards I still have somewhere on the shelf, I will have to mount them to my MGM the next few days. Have a good time !

Hi Jojo,
yes, the Bullitts look great on the little 4dr Mustang ;-)
We will be travelling north some time in August. I'll give you a call when we know the dates and maybe we can have a coffee or a beer together ;-)
Won't be driving the Vic, though.
Any Panther travelling through SW-Germany is welcome to stop by our place as well! PM me and bring a little patience as I don't read here every day.

Come on let us find a date for the meeting in Münster. Saturdays and/or Sundays would fit me best. If we have a date I can lookout for a nice location. Maybe some nice moated castle would give a great scenery for pictures... please report to jojo41@web.de as I am not on this platform every day.
