Just purchased a 2008 CV base. It has a key fob, but I don't know the code for the keyless entry on the door. I don't have any paperwork for the car, and have read that the code might be inside the door panel. Before I pull the panel, I'd like to know for sure the code is there.

Yes, code is on the module inside.

Any tricks to get the panel off?

Should be a couple bolts on bottom, one on side. Remove plastic square covering torx head near door handle, remove said torx screw, pull switch panel (pull up careful from pointed end (front of car end) being careful not to break tab at back) once that's out of the way there is a bolt behind the switches you must remove. From there, pull up on panel and it should come free

When replacing the door panel, first remove the inside door handle. This will make fitting the panel much easier.

Base didn't come with the keypad. Do you have an LX. Some people have said the code isn't always on the box on later years.

Yea, what those guys said. Check the trunk arm, that's where I found mine on my 04 MGM.

My 2011 LX did not have a code. Nothing on the trunk hinge, and nothing on the door module. I got the code from my local dealer free while doing the steering shaft recall.

It won't be in the trunk. I don't know when they stopped there but it was before 2007. Our 2005 Taurus doesn't have it in the trunk either.
I also had to get my code from the dealer and they checked it for free too.

I bought my 2004 GMQ new; the trunk hinge arm was where I looked, but it wasn't there.
In the Owner's Packet (the zippered case in the glove box) among a bunch of owner's manuals, warranty manuals, maintenance instructions, and so forth, was a sheet of peel-off stickers with the door codes printed on them. I peeled one off and applied it to my trunk hinge arm.
If you have the OEM Owner's Packet, it could still be there...

As others have said, you're probably going to have to go to a dealer and have them pull the code ( they want like $90 for it too ). My friend and I checked EVERYWHERE from the code to my 2011 LX and it was nowhere to be found ( we checked the trunk hinges, glove box, manual, took off the drivers side door panel to check the code on the module in there, all to no avail ).

2006 GMQ here and no code in trunk or manual. Perhaps in the door. Before I pull the trim off, has anyone with an 06 or up seen the sticker on the module in the door?

If you are in the market for an OBD2 code reader if you get the Autel MD802 all system. It will pull your door code from the module just like the dealer. It's 250-300 bucks However, it will give you all OBD codes as well as Transmission-ABS and airbag codes. EATC tests probably the closest thing I have found short of getting your hands on an actual Ford Dealer scan tool.

Pricey, I know but if your gonna spend 100+ on an regular scan tool and 90+ at dealer for them to pull your door code. its not so bad anymore.

What is the PID name to retrieve the door code? I have an ODB-II scanner that can read all the Ford ECU, Trans, Airbags, etc. codes....wondering if that could do it.

I believe the later ones are ink stamped on module, have to look closely as it's difficult to see...
