Changed the oil in Isabella, and YES, the funky oil drain valve is working just fine.

2015 Base Mustang GT wheels and tires. No wheel spacers. Just got it done today! Also installed an aftermarket head unit for Bluetooth capability. But I don't have pics of that yet.

So, I've been back on American soil for a month now and here's what I've gotten done to SICVIC:
- Sandblasted, primed and painted rear differential housing - Assembled rear end with 3.55RAR, 31-spline Trac-Lok, Moser 31-spline axles and ARP extended wheel studs - Cut and boxed the front frame to clear the Cobra alternator - Assembled the front suspension cradle with all new parts including RideTech coilovers, and the TCE 14" big brake kit - Got my new wheels and tires in; P255/45ZR18 Nitto NT555 on 18x9 SVE Drift wheels for the front. P275/60R15 Nitto NT555R drag radials on 15x10 SVE Drags for the back
Should I update the build thread? I have mountains of picture updates...

Drove the HPP. Its previous misfire reappeared, badly. It did not throw any CELs, but had pending codes for 3 cylinders, none of which was cylinder 4 which previously had a CEL. So I said screw it an put a set of 8 coils on it in the parkinglot at work. Cost me more than I wanted, but the miss is gone and it has never run better. Hopefully this helps the fuel economy some since it has not been getting the best MPGs.

Got her a new set of skins. Well not completely, just the rims part. 200 bucks for the 4. What year Mustang? Those appear to be from 2004 and older Mustang. There are two versions of those rims with different offset. 2005 plus works with 2003 plus CV's. If you fit the older rim, they will stick out a little. They are from an 01. I have looked on this site and many others and can't seem to get a positive real number on the offset of my 06 steelies or 01 Bullits. I seem to remember 40mm for my 06 wheels but all I can find on the 01 Mustang is between 30 and 50mm. So can anyone tell me for sure what the offsets are so I don't have to remove one of my wheels and measure myself. So I did some more looking, it seems I have the 17x8 01 bullit with a 24mm offset. And I do remember my 06 steels being 40mm with 7.5" width, so by my convoluted math the outer lip should stick out 22.35mm or .879" further out. Does this sound remotely right? This probably needs to be moved to the tire and wheel section. Thanks again for the heads up on the offsets.
Edited by charlieD (10/22/16 11:02 AM) Edit Reason: wrong wheel width screwed up my math, recalculated

That is about right. The pre-'04 Mustang can rock the same near-zero offset as a '79-'02 Panther. However, they tended to put a mild-high offset like around an inch (+25mm) on the later mustangs to fill the wheelwells better with the more aggressive flare on the "new edge" body from '99-'04. These might stick out past the fenders on a '03+ panthers which needs a high-positive offset (stock is ~+40mm for 16 and +35mm for 17s), but it would not be as bad as '98-'02 steelies on a '03+ since those steelies have maybe +6mm (pretty sure all '98-'02 16" are around +6 like the HPP alloys). These would probably look pretty good as Panther wheels do set in a bit compared to the fenders. Especially the rear. Should give it a more aggressive stance and make the tires look wider than they really are. IDK if you have Shamrock Cap company on your side of town, but they have a lot of '03+ CV/GMQ running around with the older steelies (last time I was in their shop they had stacks of mounted '98-'02 wheels so they probably bolt on whatever they have when one needs tires), that will give you an idea of how much they stick out, its not all that bad really even with the very low offset wheels.

Thanks. The spare in my car is an older 16" steelie I can check out. By my highly accurate standing above with the tape measure off the tire it looks like the front may stick out a fuzz (technical term) and the rear just right. I'm going to go ahead and run these because your right on, the big girl needs a bit of a wider stance on the rear, helps her derriere look a little less junk in the trunk.

What size tire are you gonna run? Those wheels will be a little out, 255 tires will stick out more. Here is a set of +30 offset Cobra wheels on an '05 with 255/50-17 tires. The rear is fine, with CVPI suspension you shouldn't hit the fender with the tire.
