Paid the state of Michigan $170 so that the Lincoln is legal for another year. My registration is actually down $10 from last year, but still costs more than the car is worth. Hell, the 12 month registration on the Lincoln costs more than the 16 month registration on the HPP did (I bought it less than 6 months b4 my birthday so its registration is good till 12/2017) Just did my registration on the 1st of this month.

I'm suprised mine never threw a code or light considering I had coolant in #6. Check your valley if you have a flashlight and can actually see under the intake. My intake was original so it had the insulator on the bottom which blocked the view of the valley. New one does not have the insulator .

Drove home a little quick tonight and realized my tires have NO grip.
Winter is going to be fun.
Now the choice is... New tires? Or computer parts?

Since we're finally getting a cold snap, I checked the air pressure on my tires. Sure as poop, they were all about 7lbs light. So I took care of that. Happens every year... they don't lose anything all summer or most of the winter, just that first cold snap. I'm also amazed at how much the ride improves when this particular car when I have to add even a few pounds.

The cylinder #7 plug well was a mess. I appear to have a small intake leak. Meh. The spark plug is very worn, but the coil looks to be in pretty good condition. The resistance between the two pins in the plug tested fine, but I couldn't get anything when testing the resistance between the spring and one of the connector pins. I must be doing something wrong. Cleaned the plug up and put some dielectric grease on the coil, put it all back together. It doesn't stumble at idle anymore, but sometimes under load at low rpms it will buck a bit. I can deal with that until my plugs get here. They might not be the issue but it needs them anyway. You may have an open winding, or a bad connection...no connection with a meter, but the spark can still jump the gap...it may work, but not ideal, I'd think about swapping it out, SOON.

Tripled its value by filling the tank . I bought a set of wheels off of BlueFusion and wrapped up the Vic for the winter. With the Marauder wrapped up in the garage, and the '62 Chevy back in the workshop for more improvements, I'm back down to one car.

i dont know uf i would wrap it up in a disposable tarp, Adam. ive seen bad things happen. wind flapping it, mold, rust actually, as it sits in sun and it gets warm under and cold at night makes it sweat. my never been driven in winter truck is outside this winter and was last year. sprayed any chrome with wd40, put a cut up section of old outdoor car cover over cowl to keep snow from building up, melting, then freezing. pulled the battery and put in basement. not good to let them freeze. i clean the snow off when it snows and have stabilizer in fuel tank.

I've got an outdoor car cover on underneath the tarp, battery is out, plan to unwrap it on a few dry winter days throughout the winter. Should be fine; it's how I stored my Cordoba back in the day and never had an issue...

Finally got my replacement voltage regulator for my new alternator. I grabbed a remanned 175 amp 3G through work for about $60, since I had been poking through alternators while it was slow and noticed the '92-'94 cars had that model listed, and the '95-'97 ones didn't, plus it was cheaper. I didn't realize it used a plug that is virtually unseen on more common 3Gs: Apparently the only car I could find that should have that is the Contour and Mystique, but I guess it may (I'll verify some day) also be present on police package '92-'94 Crown Victorias. I'll get the stuff hooked up tomorrow and put the 90 amp back in storage in case it's needed.
