Hey all, looking to replace my dash trim (left and right side of the steering wheel) with that of a GM or something of the like. What years will fit into my 04? The yard I normally go to has vics and GMs up to 02 usually, will those be compatible? Thanks!

I have a 06 and 96 CV and I have a 2000 MGM

I can directly transfer the trims from the 2000 MGM to the 96 CV.

For my 06, The trip computer buttons, the "Passenger Air Bag Off" light, the rear window defrost button and the pedals adjustment button are all in different locations.

I also think that you have the trunk button in the middle of the dash instead of in the driver door.

Maybe take a look at this video that I found on YouTube...

Hope the info was helpful!

They physically fit and can swap '95+, but as mentioned above, later cars ('05+ IIRC) will have the passenger side airbag light, and the defroster button was on the passenger side until '00 or '01.

Thanks for the info! I've already rerouted the trunk release button to the door and cut out a custom hole in the trim to fit a clock in there, so that's no concern. As for the defrost button, when I pull off the trim to the left of the steering wheel there are 2 connectors not being used. I imagine one is for rear defroster but what might the other one be?

adjustable pedals and traction control. neither of which your car has and no, adding the switches won't make them work (sorry, its been asked several times on here). Shouldn't be hard to re-route the defroster button to the other side if you were to go with the older trims.
