well I got my car running and driving again <3 runs good and shifts flawlessly now, but my new issue is my wiper connector arm pops out of its socket when turning the wipers on.... this is a major issue since I live in florida home of the instant rain storm.. also my interior dome light and door lights never worked since I got it but alot of the other lights like glove box light work so I dont understand why the door/dome dont work

Edit: Forgot car is a 2000 P71 sorry bout that
Matty~

Not sure about the wipers but if you have a p71, you probably have the car in dark mode. That way when the cop steps out, the overhead lights don't come on.

You need to have the dealer re-flash the system to remove the "Dark Mode."

dose the 2000 need a dealer reflash? I always heard it was the tiny blue plug that needed to be disconnected

sometimes it takes several cycles of opening the door before it will "take" Mine just needed a battery cable pull and they started coming on. Check the wire on those coming from the blue plug and make sure they are not cut somewhere. Cant remember the years that requires a flash, 06 or around there.

Regarding your wipers, is it the blade coming off the arm or is the arm coming off where it mounts to the drive system?

If it's the blade coming off the arm, check to see if the blade is locked in place. If it refuses to lock, then just get a new blade.

If it's the arm coming of the mount, check to see if it's seated fully and the latch is in place. If not, set the latch. If the latch is broken, replace the arm.

its the connecting shaft to the main motor it keeps poping out of place when you turn them on so only the passenger side is moveing

I believe the blue plug is to be disconnected to turn dark car mode off, not connected. It may take a power reset to actually change the setting (disconnect battery for a few minutes).
