Not to mention SAP also has the chrome grille and the chrome strip under the tail lights. The strange thing is the passenger handle looks like it has a lock hole, which only the police interceptor cars have so it's the right SAP handle.

I definitely do have a bit of a weirdo. Mine has always had the chrome door handles; I don't think they've been tampered with since the factory. It originally had the black grille and the black strip under the lights/fascia, but I have since swapped those for chrome trimmed like the SAP version would have.

There also was a spotlight on the right passenger side from the factory, which was removed and the hole closed up.

I'm certain the car was not SAP from the factory, since the only feature it shares with SAP is the chrome handles. I still have the cloth bucket seats and vinyl rear bench.

I wonder if it is just another example of Ford using up whatever they had left at the end of the production run? When in the year was it built? Production ended mid-September 2011.

That's what I was thinking or just a goof up on the line.
It's easy to see it being SAP that someone just changed the grille for whatever reason but not very likely a PD would have gone out of their way to switch the tail lights to black.
SAP didn't make any changes to the interior, it was an appearance package only like the name says.

Re: New '11 CVPI: There's only one way of knowing for sure whether your car was SAP at the factory...to see the original window sticker. Isn't there a link to that still around some place?

The door strips I got from Tasca, which come unpainted with just the chrome strip in the middle. Then my body shop paint matched them. You may wish to do that with your rear fascia as well, instead of it being black colored between the two tail lamps:

Looks really nice, I'm jealous. There can't be to many left out there with such low miles and in such nice shape. You say it only had a spotlight on the passenger side? I've never seen that.
