Interior: Medium Parchment Bucket Seats (interior Code TH).
Currently at 51,517 miles and totally stock.
According to my Marti Report, this was 1 of 54 Sports that were produced in Toreador Red with Medium Parchment Interior. Everything is original to the car with the exception of normal maintenance items which have been replaced over the years. I have retained many of the original maintenance items that were replaced such as serpentine belt, air filter, spark plugs, and wiper blades.
Additional factory options include:
Front and Rear carpeted floor mats, Premium sound system (AM/FM/Cassette w/trunk mounted 6-disc CD Changer), power adjustable pedals, anti-lock brakes, LX Comfort Plus Group (which includes power passenger seat and electronic instrumentation). OEM splash guards installed by the dealer per our request prior to taking delivery. OEM (NOS) trunk organizer purchased 8 years ago from a Ford dealer in California as an additional add on piece.

I love this car. 1 of 54 is probably as rare as any CV can get, and it's freaking immaculate.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who does this. Not that I'm ever going to need a 34-year-old coolant hose or spark plug, but they're available if I do.

This, of course, was merely the semi-delirious notion of a fever-patient, but I remember that it struck me at the time as being eminently practical and feasible.

That's the type of maintenance that separates the $600 cars from the $200 cars... laugh

Here is a copy of the Marti Report. I think I might have posted this a few years ago. I'll have to dig out the window sticker and one of these days I'll post that up as well. I just wish I knew how many of the 54 had the digital dash. That was a $1,900 option back in the day. It was included in the LX Comfort Plus Group.

Interesting that you could get the digidash on the Crown Vic LX Sport but not on the Grand Marquis LSE, you could get it on the ultimate but then you lost the center console. From what I've been told there was no way to get both on the Grand Marquis.

I see you still have the factory ashtray and trunk organizer that I'm missing, any idea what the select shift feature is?

Here's my Marti report for comparison

Wonder why STAP was so far behind schedule in those years...

I am thinking the Select Shift might be the fact that you can manually start out in 1st or 2nd gear and hold that gear. Helps you out a little in the snow to start out in 2nd. If you go to "D" it starts you out in 1st gear and up-shifts from there. I was quite surprised at how many people over the years did not realize that you could do that, and not just with a Panther. Of course back in the day anti-lock brakes consisted of pumping them and traction control was modulated by your right foot. I finally got around to uploading a picture of my window sticker so here it is:
