Thank you. That paint scheme was in service from 1993 to 1999. Only the 1996 Caprice, 97 and 1998 Crown Vics were painted that color. I love that color. In fact I was thinking about buying a retired blue HPD car from the auction. The edited pic is what I wanted to get.

8 years on the road...wow! Most in service patrol cars at any decent agency in CA don't go past 4 years old. How many miles on it at the end?

I really don't know. In fact I saw a 1998 P71 at the auction just like that blue one but its screwed up. 8 years ain't nothing. I even see a 1999 Crown Vic P71 still patrolling the downtown Houston, and that's 11 years old!

Damn, we still have some 1997- Aero's out here. Lots of 98-02, 03-05's and 06's+ We got em all!

They're not easily recognizable so that criminals can't get too far away. As soon as they see an easily noticed patrol car, they ran away, damn cowards! Sometimes I freak out if I see a white P71 which makes me think it's a cop behind me lol.

By the way I also believe all Police vehicles should be a highly visible paint scheme. I think black/white should be standardized as Police only and reserved for that only (no Geek squad bushwa) just as red and sometimes neon green or yellow has been standardized for fire and usually white for ambulances.

The primary role of the police should be to "serve and protect", not to sneak up on people without them noticing. Seems like the government working against you constantly if you think about it deeper.....hmm.....
