I am fairly certain the 1972 Plymouth Fury was the largest passenger sedan ever made.

No way. The Dodge version of the same chassis would have been bigger, and the Chrysler version bigger still.

The '58-'60 Lincolns were the biggest unibody cars ever made. (At least in terms of length.)

Our department is supposed to be getting one for a week or so to demo. The Lieutenant over our motor pool and the Sergeant that works under her have already driven one at the deal they had last week, I think in Kentucky, where all the manufacturers had cars. I've been told that there is more leg room, but it's a little more narrow. I prefer more room width wise, but if I lost a little weight, then it wouldn't matter (LOL). Either way, I've always been a big Ford fan, but I'd like to drive a Charger (with the Hemi) just to see how it is. Only time will tell if they are as dependable as the CVPI.

I thought the 24 foot long '74 Cadillac Sedan DeVille was the biggest passenger sedan ever made.

Lol

I'm not quite sure what you mean "OWNED"... but if you mean you've already posted what I said, I didn't see it in this thread anywhere.

Just got back from N.Y.C. and didn't see a single Charger.I was only in Manahtten though. But i did see some 07 Crown Vics on the streets.Could only tell by the ugly 07 wheel covers.Midtown South on West 30th street had quite a few and Midtown North on West 54th street had some besiedes some 07 Wimpalas.

So the Crown Vic lives on in N.Y.C. for a bit longer.

Not long ago the Crown Vic was off the table for cars to be ordered for N.Y.C.Guess they changed their minds.

That was because the 'Superior' Impala came onto the scene. City departments flocked to them because they were cheaper to buy, but more pricey to maintain on the rough streets.

A NYPD Charger is a real test of how strong and durable they are.

My brother has noticed a few marked units at my local police precint. I have seen black undercover Chargers on the highway pull some people over a few times.

Im pretty sure the largest AMERICAN made pass. sedan was the 72-76 Cadillac DeVilles with the LWB. In the rear seat, yuo can fold down a thing on the front seatback to fit more passengers.

Those are called jump seats. They date back to the 1920s at least.

I almost bought a '74 Sedan DeVille in 2002. $500 and it would have drove my mother nuts, a near perfect vehicle.
