I see swps.net has the Pro Guard skid plate for the CV. Does anyone know if it will also fit the Marauder? I checked with them, and they don't know.

JonW,

Is this the one that goes on under the rear bumper? If so, I believe DR sells them for $50. A lot of Marauder owners have bought this. I haven't yet, though.

Yes it will fit. And as Sully008 noted, several MercuryMarauder.net / MotorCityMarauder.net members have them installed.

Now the next question ... Are you intending to be an inny or an outy ?

Direct fit. Will also prevent the bumper 'sag' and highway flapping the MM rear bumper is prone to.

You better not leave us in favor of those (^^) other boards Jon!

Kinda personal, isn't it?

I think I'll be an inny

Will it fit with a trailer hitch?

You'll probably have to trim it to fit.

Mine is outie, but most people do not like the look. However, to be functional as a skid plate for meridian crossing and such, an innie is worthless, because it still leaves a bumper edge to get snagged on something.

My CV is more aerodynamic on the underside than most (with an added front belly pan) and I see no change in fuel economy. Those 3.55:1 axles are merciless.

Mine fit after trimming around my class 3 hitch. Was on a 2001 CVLX HPP though...
