I think the only style of hood scoop that would really work on a vic, besides a cowl scoop, is a shaker style scoop. The hood is so big and the overall car dimensions are so big, I think almost any other style would be out of place.

ewww i didn't like that one...i guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

anyone in here good with photoshop that could do a quick job of a vic with the wrx scoop?

also... if I go with the wrx scoop, should I do any other scoops near the front, or should I just leave it at that? I was debating on doing the wrx scoop in the rear of the hood and some vents in the front, but the vents are probably more trouble than it's worth...

anyone have a good tutorial on using bondo to attatch a hood scoop?

I the WRX scoop will look like a joke, i mean Buck has a nice idea, or something like the mustang scoop that stretches out across the whole hood (midway front to back) will look better since the hood on these cars are so massive, know what i mean

I LOLed when I read that.

A long time ago I had an '87 Camry, rear-ended a woman in a minivan. Rebuilt the front end using parts of a black Camry, one of those parts was the hood. Two of my buddies thought it was CF.

As for the scoop idea, by all means try it, but my $.02 is that scoops grafted from an '87 or '88 Turbo T-Bird would look really good

As long as it doesn't end up like this and start telling people how cool it is because you DIY and that it is not done yet and stuff...

if he took the hood off and did it, the leftover bondo could be smoothed, sanded and painted in a day!instead he did it while it was on the car, got it everywhere else besides the hood, did not sand, and did not paint... HORRIBLE... and is the scoop made of cardboard?

also: i am debating on the wrx style hood scoop now, the one in the pics looked better in my opinion... anyone find any scoops that would look good and fit the aero vic on ebay? I might be getting some paypal money comming in. I'm still trying to find which scoop to go with. ebay or summit racing, I could get one from either... try to keep it under 80 bucks... but 60 would be more reasonable before shipping.

I do believe we've gone over this a few times before LOL, I think you need to increase the budget some.

I do agree with DROCK, this is now the third time I see DC posting about the same topic.

Increase your budget if you want to get a nice scoop.

Try it, if it doesn't look good then it doesn't look good.

I've always been very keen on getting one of these hoods on my car...

I mean the 05+ Mustang hood is a big freakin' hood. So either of the above would look pretty good on there.

ok how about this, it's the svo mustang scoop... it's a little larger than 2 feet length and height wise, should fit between the lines no problem. What do you guys think? I could cut it open to make it functional, cut the hood, bondo it on, then paint. yes or no?
