No reliable issues with my Lonnie 93 tune. I have the marauder maf/airbox. Forgot what year the airbox was. Get underdrives and addcos and holy moly!

2004 models can use the 2004+ CVPI airbox/MAF instead of the Marauder airbox/MAF provided the correct connector is soldered in. Again, tuning still required

I got the airbox. Can I reuse the snorkel from my current airbox?

By "snorkel" I assume you mean tube that connects filter box to throttle body?

The stock one might be stretched to fit. I would just go find a 2004 CVPI tube at the junkyard. Its one year only, but its the only one that makes things look proper, and is "plug and play" for pre2004 cars.

Snorkel as in the tube behind the headlight that connects to the airbox.

No, not without a lot of modifying.

Not sure why you would want to use the "small" snorkel vs the "marauder style" on the later CVPI boxes.

Removing that narrow trumpet used to be of the "must have" free mods here.

It frees up some extra vroom vroom noise, and much placeber Whorespowers.

Oh, I'm guessing you bought a box and it didn't come with one.

It really doesn't do much.

But it picks up cold air neta... doubt it makes a measurable difference.

but water intrusion neta... ive run gutted boxes all year long without water getting on the filter

I say just leave it off unless you can by one really cheap/free.

Thanks for the reply.

That's exactly what happened. It didn't come with the one I bought. I'll try to keep my eye out for one.

For my 1999 LTC, when upgrading to the MZT, I had to modify the AirBox to accept the underside "Snorkel" and seal the forward facing stock snorkel the LTC uses. As-well as modifying the area where the air actually enters through the front grill, up to the area where to Snorkel picks up the air. Not much work, but definitely needs to be noted.
