I just picked up the M&Z part of the MZT, and since I don't know how to solder wires I guess I need to drill a hole somewhere. Everything else just plugs in right?
I'm just not sure where to drill the hole and that part of the install. The guide I've seen linked here only talked about soldering the wires.

I don't have an exact number. Those who have a 87 and a 93 tune have said that there is a noticeable difference. hp isnt really that different with a gas graded tune, usually its economy and response that are improved, as well as torque. The cam will dictate general horsepower potential, a tune just makes the most of whats there for maximum efficiency

The MZ sitting in a box in garage until I can afford the tune. I'm going to trace the cut out on my old air box and then dremmel it out on the new box. I had to do the same thing with my taillights. It should be pretty easy and if I have to I'll seal it.

Got the MZT installed today, Reinhart Automotive did a great job. I'm so glad to have the shop nearby, it saved me money not having to buy a handheld flash device.
We rode around a few times making sure the shift points were just right, it's not a granny riding car now.

Thank You for the information Derek,
If i have read correctly this means that my 2001 CVPI does not have the (MM) airbox and 80mm MAF sensor.. in that case i need to delete the PI airbox signature tag from my description :*(

for you people deciding if you want the MZT, i was running stock a 16.2-16.6 in the 1/4...now im running a 15.3...you decide. umm that was not a result of simply putting in a different sensor... first of all you deleted the rear cats... thats a biggie on these cars... serious HP but not applicable in most states (legally).. then there is the tune, also a biggie and then there is the lesser items.... just the tune and rear cat delete made your car much quicker than stock..... while the MAF helps with all the other goodies it was not the biggest item in there...

Hey, regarding rear cat deletes...I think someone is going to steal mine, and I noticed that a straight piece of pipe doesn't look like it will go right in their place, what does everyone recommend for this?

I thought of a pair of those universal flex couplers at the auto parts store, but they're $25 each.
