Does anyone have a picture or instructions for the power steering pressure sensor. I'm throwing a code for it and would love to know where it is at or what the hell it looks like.

Any help, thanks guys.

A power steering pressure switch (PSP) is present on 2003+ model panthers.

For early production '03s the sensor was variable resistance, for late product it is just a normally closed switch.

 Quote:
The PSP switch is a normally closed switch that opens as the hydraulic pressure increases. The PCM uses the input signal from the PSP switch to compensate for additional loads on the engine by adjusting the idle rpm and preventing engine stall during parking maneuvers

The FSM says it's near the A/C compressor on the lower right hand front of the engine. From the diagram it appears to be on a hard line just below and outboard of the compressor.

I'd have to assume this hardline is the one that loops around the front between the power steering pump and the steering rack (follow the hoses/lines)

Nope. It's called the power steering pressure switch or PSP, and is only on 2003+ models.

It's not part of the EVO/VAPS system so you won't see it in those diagrams. Look through the electronic engine controls ;\)
