After some registration issues I am finally able to read the BOK and post so here I go.

Well I am new to the CV scene, Ford Scene but def. not new to cars and bikes. Just retired from the Army and since Ford is the only mfg that didnt need a stimulous package I would give them a chance. I broke down and bought myself an 03 CVPI and have been delighted with the car, but not so delighted with my local Ford stealer.

I have already started upgrading the interior with some MM leather seats and am awaiting the ddoor cards so I can have them fully functional. I have replaced the non cruise wheel with cruise wheel and actuator and am awaiting a new clockspring to get it functioning.

Am still trying to get my car out of "dark mode" I have read every dark mode thread, still not working so I am expecting a cut wire(s).

Due to a medical condition I have extremely dark tinted windows and have been stopped once, provided my medical slip and was released without incident.

I purchased the ride in FL. drove it to Alabama, drove it to NY and back to AL twice, drove to Chicago last weekend and back all with the spotlight, push bar, cb antenna and limo tinted windows without getting stopped. (except for a small area in Birmingham where I was pulled for the tint as mentioned above) so I know first hand that it can be done. I read here some of the members horror stories about a fully decked out car. I guess it is how you attract attention.

I plan on building myself a complete motor and SC it for the extra power, but I am starting out with the interior first.

Anyway that intro was long enough so I will give your eyes a break.

Thanks for such a great setup site and thanks to Steve for assisting me with my registration woes.

^^ I am awaiting the finishing of my seat install. It's really your basic CVPI (white) with spotlight, push bar, puck antenna (police left in it), cb and antenna, now with non functional MM leather seats.

The 4 months I have had the car I havent even taken one pic. Soon to come though.

You must be from the UK. Either that or some English speaking country in Europe. Am I right?

No, just guilty of typing while tired. I am a full blooded American.

Glad your badge doesnt indicate US Marshal, you would suck at internet profiling. (JK)

You called door panels, door cards. Its usually a European thing. Either that or you watch a lot of BBC/Top Gear/Wheeler Dealers.

I see, well while in the USMC I did spend 9+ years in Japan. I have been to Germany and othe rparts of the world.

I figured you were speaking of my grammer and not focussed on two words.

Pretty funny about the door cards, I could have sworn I remembered to type panels. I get the same thing when I purchased door panels for my rally cars.
