Aren't no cats illegal?

And when did P71s come stock with 2.73s?

I have a 2000 CVPI. What advantages would a tune have compared to the tune that the CVPIs already have? Wouldnt the CVPIs already be tuned the best that they can for LE work? This is my first CVPI so I am not up to speed on all the ins and outs of tuning. Actually, I am a jeep guy and as long as I had good gears and a locker, thats all I cared about. I am hesitant to pay 500 bucks for a tune and the car not need it.

The 2000 Model year for ALL panthers got the worst stock tune.

Just swapping in a 99 P-71 PCM would greatly improve your 2000. Those can be had pretty cheap from a Junkyard if you do a pick n pull

Lonnies tune would improve beyond any stock tune by a good margin, even without the Marauder airbox/MAF

It's all what you want to do with the car, the tune will not transform it into a rocket.

I can get my stock zip tube on and off my 80mm MAF ok. But then it's been on there over 4 years/100,000 miles so far.

I dont know of any... and that includes foreign custom or domestic...

the market is so tiny for that kind of software no one wants to bother with Macs even. Have not seen MAc O/S supported let alone the other unix Linux

by the way... get a used notebook and fresh battery. an older one with an RS232 and USB is the bomb if you play with cars etc

yeah, its illegal, but my locals have no way to check them... its just kind of ignored here in the foothills... lol
and idk when they came with 273's, but that what it looks like on my ID tag... slow 0-60, but tops out at over 160...
I have been told that this car has a Diablo tune on it already, but idk if there is any truth to it. i was told that from a guy that builds these up a bit, but he cant get any stuff anymore...
idk what all else im going to do to this thing... to be honest, i dont know what all is available for these things without tearing the trans. out of it...

A highway patrol officer I was talking to (off-duty) who sounded like he knew a bit about his ride mentioned that most CVPI's come stock with 2.73's, at MOST a rare 3.27.

Can anyone recommend any tuning software for windows? I need good tuning + dyno software I can use on vista with an obd-usb cable. I already found TunerPro (free), but it doesn't want to work with my cable.

Uh, no. Most P71s come with 3.27s, some with 3.55s. The Police Chargers are geared 2.81 IIRC.

Has anyone here ever dealt with Brenspeed? I have found an X3 on ebay for 235 that is blank. Brenspeed sells email tunes. One for $75 and three for $125. Is this a good deal?

I was just reading the BOC website and they claim to get 11rwhp with the SF3 programmer. ONLY 11 horses for all that money? Is that normal?
