Great to see Andy is making progress. I've seen the car in the metal (when I went to collect my Country Squire after Andy did some work on it) and I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished!

Good to see you back Andy keep up the good work.
I really like this thread because in have my mother’s 1986 crown Victoria lx wagon. Runs and drives great I have done all the maintenance since dad bought it in 1988 with 11,000 miles on it. It now has 113,000 miles. I really like to drive it.

Checking in again. Keep it up!

I sold my Grand Marquis last year. My new toy is a Trailmanor so I couldn't keep up with the maintenance on the Marquis.

Ok, back to the story....

Since photobucket removed the image links a few years ago, this thread became more or less useless, BUT,....I think it is important that I finish the story of the build of this car. So watch this space.
So, I will either post up links to the full diary in pdf format, or redo the entire thing!
How close are we to completing the build? Well, I'm hoping next summer will be its maiden voyage. Certainly pushing this build everyday.

Its been a long time. The build has evolved far more than I ever imagined it would. Pushing the boundaries so to speak. And it all takes time.

Thanks to all the "old timers" who have followed from the start. Hope the new 'uns will enjoy it!

Andy.

You think about WordPress or other social media options for the reveal?

Raised floor? That's not a small mod. I love the color, too.

E-code lights w/ relays, LEDs w/ switchbacks, 15x8 Ansen slots w/ 255/60 BFG's, Kenwood stereo, various hacks.
This, of course, was merely the semi-delirious notion of a fever-patient, but I remember that it struck me at the time as being eminently practical and feasible.

Good to see it coming along Andy. If she's getting paint I can see you driving it come summer time.
