I want to upgrade the TC in my 2004 CVPI. The car has a ton of bolt ons - Steeda underdrives, accufab upper plenum and TB, JLT CAI, 410's, SCT tuned, flowmaster exhaust. Other than that, alot of suspension and other mods that don't increase HP.

I don't plan on doing much further to the car, maybe cam's and headers one day... I don't know anything about torque converters. What should I look for to fit the vic, and what size and stall should I go for? I use it as my daily driver but I want some mean performance out of her.

Also looking to spend as little as possible lol, I know they can get very expensive.

I personally would go 3000-3200

for a daily driver with no cams I would go 3000-3300. You would probably want a 10.5" converter..

Either through one of the site sponsors or there is another place that has good converters that don't cost an arm and a leg and that is Edge racing converters..

If you upgrade your converter you would also want to get a larger exteranl trans cooler like the B&M one that is sold through ADTR.

You will also want a tune to take full advantage of the high stall converter.

If you plan on doing cams it really depends on what cams you choose. When I get a converter I am going with a 9.5" billet with a 3500 stall... Well I gotta get the vic up and running again first..

I'll be going with a 10" BOC stage I FWIW.
