Welcome to the Official CVN 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile time thread. This is where the members of CVN can post their 1/4 or 1/8 mile track times.

This thread is for Panther Platform Vehicles ONLY.

To post in this thread, you will need the following:

Photos of the time slip(s), not typed text (this establishes proof of the time/mph)

If someone is at the track with you and gets a photos of the time/mph board for the lane you're in and with your car in the image, feel free to post the images. You can post up to four images per post and they must have your car in it and be no larger than 800x600 pixels in size. Any larger images WILL be linked!

Also, in your post, you should look like the following:

Track name
Date
City, ST
run #1:
<insert image of time slip>
run #2:
<insert image of time slip>
..etc...
<insert video link>

Lastly, absolutely NO getting off topic in this thread. The topic stays on topic, first person to get off topic gets it locked and un-stuck. You will be allowed to comment on your times as well as the times of your fellow CVN members. However it must be done positively, so be courteous to your fellow panther owners.

With that being said, show us your slips! \:M

Best one I have a picture of...November 15th '09, Thompson Raceway Park. 2nd best run, and my 2nd best light.

There's a 14.52 @ 97 in my glovebox I have to take a snap of.
I also have a .005 light, but I spun the tires most of the way and ended up with a 21-second pass.

I have a question because I don't race cars.

99_03Panther's time was slower but speed was faster than Panther P73. Am I missing something obvious?

How does that happen with a fixed distance unless the speed is not an average speed?

Is that speed measured within the last couple of feet?

Could someone explain to me how that works?

Thanks! Smitty

"Top end" meaning that you're pulling harder at the end of your race so your speed is only measured in the last couple of feet of your run or maybe there is a radar gun of sum sort to measure your speed as you cross the line.

So I was just missing something obvious!

Thanks 99_03!

I've been battling torque converter lockup issues ever since my 10", 3600 stall went in.

With a revised lockup schedule, I cleared a 14.94 @ 90.89 last week.

I have run a best of 91.7 in runs past.
