If your car is a cvpi it should utilize the same key for ignition, locks, and trunk you should only need one key. Unless they changed the ignition. That's why I like my keypad, as long as the battery is alive I can unlock my doors regardless.
Also you should be able to get the door unlocked yourself using the same method. Hold the top right corner out as far as you can and stick something down and hit the power lock button. I have had to do this a few times for another member lol.

I am glad to have one of these Trick with that is, you can get one as long as you have a remote keyless entry system installed. I got one for my Focus and you just program it as a regular fob remote and it uses 3M tape to adhere to where ever you wanted to stick it

Hi, My car is a Grand marquis and i do have the door keypad so i can open the car up, it's just that i cant figure a way to get a duplicate key, it seems that dealers only keep records for cars upto 10 yrs old and mine is a '96

I never worry about locking my CV's keys in the car. It came with 6 or 7 extra keys when I bought it. I can keep one in my wallet, my wife carries one and have a few extras in various desk drawers at home. I just can't figure why it had so many extra keys.
