So I finally got around to installing the 2001-04 ford focus fog
lights in my 2000 vic.

Certifit has a great price on these at 12 bucks a pop

I found a great way to mount them, these fog lights don't come with any brackets. Here's what you will need...

1. backstrap (3 to 4 strips)
2. zip ties
3. hot glue and hot glue gun
4. self taping screws
5. washers (depending on the size of the head on the screws you
might not need them)
6. power drill with an angle adapter
7. screw fastner
8. pan head screws

Here you see the backstrap, pan head screws, and screw fastner.
If you notice I grinded the side of the fastner. This is optional, but it makes it alot easier to line up with the hole on the light.

mount the backstrap using the pan head screw and fastner to the fog light.

on the other side use another piece of bacstrap with a zip tie, and tie it to the little nipple.

Use the hot glue to seal it off, that way the zip tie wont slip off. Make sure you get glue in all the little gaps

Here is what you should end up with...

Line up the fog light to your taste, and use the self tapping screws to mount it to the crash bracket. This is when you will need an angle driver adapter on your drill.

and the final product...

I think they look clean and stock, Im happy with the end result.
Next week I will get the HID's for them. I hope this helps those looking to do this mod, I know a couple of yall were wondering about witch fogs fit our cars.

Peace!

Thank you very much. There was a thread a while back about using the Focus, Alero, or Regal, fog lights and THIS looks the best to me. The other two needed cutting the small vertical section. Someone else had Focus lights, but they were mounted inside the hole and were sort of flush with the bumper cover. The only problem was that they didn't quite match the same curvature. The way these are mounted is AWESOME!

Great post.
This is one of my "to-do" items, but I want to use the OEM light switch with the pull-out fog light switch.

Now I like that, looks very clean. But are they aimed properly and can you adjust their aim?

NICE!

This needs to be in the BOK. Please submit it as a write up so it can be put there.

Mines are going to turn on with the parking lights, its going to look awesome at dusk. Specially since I got the marauder corners.

I think its almost impossible to use the fog light switch that Ford put in the marauders. Circuit is different I think.

I guess they are aimed towards the floor, these fogs do not have a mirror finish on the bottom. I dont think it will blind oncomming traffic. It will look bad a$$ when they see the vic coming with four HIDS though lol.

The reason I got them was mainly for looks, trust me it looks better in person. I havent seen a vic in Dallas with this look.

I read that thread too on these fogs, I thought this needed to be put in here. Its a good option for those wanting fogs other than those at autozone.

the parking light wire is going to trigger a relay, the relay is going to power an HID 6k kit.

I need longer than shorter nails in my line of work. lol
