I'll start. Repaired some items. Replaced my Timing chain cover. Old one had a crack around the damper seal area. I installed a 93 Vic cover on my 02 explorer block. Perfect fit if anyone is doing the swap anytime in the future; the 96+ covers have a mismatched bolt hole. No more leaks

While I was in there, I checked my timing components because I was having some noise in that area. The right side timing chain had quite a bit of slop in it!!! The tensioner must have been going bad and not able to hold pressure. That is on an engine with about 34K on it. Scary. I just happened to have a used one laying around. Thank God the chain didn't jump a tooth. Replaced it, no more noise so far.

oil change, used motorcraft 5w20 syn blend this time.

Cleaned vac and washed the vic.

Now a sparkling Golf Ball

I will tell you, I think that tensioner was affecting my performance because it feels like it picked up a few ponies

Drove to work and back. Brought home a whole house filter system to install (damn iron in well water). Picked up my daughter from 7th grade soccer (she won 6-1).

Drove her to and from school, had a mini-meet with Mike/1bad96svt at said school, filled the tank with 93, washed her, shined the tires, unintentionally experimented with a pothole to see what my car would look like as a lowrider.

Pics...

Warning, Spoiler:

Exciting, I know.

Drove to the mall to get cigs. Avoided detection by the gestapo. Home safe, thank God. $666 in fines saved.

Patted the dash lovingly and I'm about to get off my butt and pull body bolts off the 99, and rearrange my spare parts storage room to make more room for more spare parts.
